Junchen Guo

郭俊辰

Biography

Junchen Guo has received his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Technology with a minor in Business Administration from University of Science and Technology of China in June 2016. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering at Tsinghua University, under the supervision of Dr. Yuan He. Junchen's academic interests include Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing and Mobile Computing. Junchen is currently the student leader of Pavatar project.

Projects

  • Pavatar
  • Pavatar is a digital twin for Ultra-High-Voltage Convertor Stations (UHVCS), leveraging cutting-edge Industrial IoT techniques. The goal of Pavatar is to improve the efficiency of system management, to assist control decision and to save labor cost. The main components of Pavatar includes data visualization in virtual reality, intensive networked video analysis, intelligent wireless sensing and deep system diagnosis. Recently, our team has deployed the prototype of Pavatar in ShaoShan UHVCS at Hunan, China, to comprehensively monitor the operation of the world's first 300MVar water-cooling compensators. Visit Pavatar Website for more information about Pavatar!

  • TagLeak
  • TagLeak is a low-cost and battery-free sensing system for liquid leakage detection in modern factories and plants. It is one of the most significant component of the Pavatar project.

  • DeepEgde
  • DeepEdge is an embedded deep learning system for low power and real-time computer vision tasks. It utilizes the magical power of deep learning algorithms and brings it to the edge of the network.

  • Pangu
  • Pangu is an innovated software-defined architecture for wireless sensor networks, which enables centralized network control over underlying ad-hoc opportunistic routing structure by defining the forwarding role (sender or forwarder) of sensor nodes.
